At a first-year student at my university, I had no idea what I want to do with my
life when I graduated. In my opinion, after I finish school, I am going to find an appropriate job which is related to my major (my major is Control Engineering and Automation which relates to technology and automatic systems). However, in the third year of the university, I came to the realization that in order to excel in my field, I must do everything in my power to find interest in this area. Furthermore, I need to be passionate and persistent if I want to succeed in my future career. While performing these endeavors for a decent job in the future, I believe that these research projects I completed in school make me fascinated and that I did them with more effort than a mere assignment. This has changed my perspective and given me a fresh outlook. I am appreciative of the charitable events I participated in while I was a student because they helped me solidify my beliefs about the future career I want to pursue. At that time, I was recommended by my best friend for a volunteer group. This group organized and arranged numerous charity activities for underprivileged kids at a local pagoda, and I joined them as a teacher of these children. When I initially arrived at the pagoda, which serves as a social safety center for children from disadvantaged backgrounds, I felt grateful for my life. Lack of many material things, especially about the parental attention makes their misbehaviour, but I completely understand because I experienced this as a child. Due to a lack of teaching expertise, my task was only to tutor several grade 2 students in math. I understood that this task and the later months made clear how challenging the career of a teacher is. Not only teach subjects at school but also that I have to learn how to mix studying and fun to improve children’s abilities. After doing so, I finally realized that becoming a teacher would be the ideal career option for me because I enjoy working with students and teaching them. Fortunately, I have a sibling who is a lecturer in my department (Automation department) and he just earned his Ph.D. in Japan. He encouraged me to pursue higher study and gave me support in doing so. I worked hard to study with this support, and in my final semester of college, my final thesis received a respectable 9.6 out of 10. I am very grateful to my all professors for their support, and make a commitment that I will try my best to study in order to fulfill my ambition of becoming a teacher in the future. However, after I graduated, there were certain particular obstacles in the way of pursuing further education, especially since I was conscious of my lack of knowledge of cutting-edge technological advancements. Therefore, the greatest choice for me at the moment was to study overseas to follow my goal, but English is a major barrier for me. So, I made a decision that I took a gap year to learn English and thought about my career. IELTS 5.5 was the final score I received; it is not a great score, but it represents my best effort at what I believe to be an extremely difficult undertaking. I was also starting to work on projects for my lecturer at the time as an assistant researcher. Since I approached and used certain deep learning challenges for these projects, I believe that deep learning or network learning technology is a challenging subject for Vietnamese students, including myself. As a result, I want to pursue my higher study in master’s program in Network Learning Technology at National Central University in Taiwan. This is why I want to become a teacher, and I am aware that talking about something is far simple than really doing it, but I have complete confidence in my abilities. I am hoping that this gives you a solid foundation on which to admit me to your prestigious institute for a master’s program in Network Learning Technology.
