To calculate the accurate area of a wrapping paper that you need in gift wrapping, you need to
measure the length and width of the gift box that you are going to use then multiply them (LxW).

C. APPLICATION

Activity for slow/indigenous learners: “Do You Know Me?”

Direction: Name what tools or material in gift wrapping is in the picture, then match with its
uses. (Kilalanin kung anung kagamitan sa pagbabalot ng regalo ang ipinapakita sa larawan at
itugma sa tamang gamit nito.)

Activity for average learners: “Wrap Me!”

Direction: Make a simple gift wrapping with the use of the different materials and tools for gift
wrapping. The students will wrap a box using the wrapping paper and will use a ribbon to tie the
wrapped box.

STEPS IN GIFT WRAPPING

1. Prepare all the tools and materials needed in gift wrapping.
2. Make sure you have enough work space, then measure the dimensions of the box
and transfer the measurement on the wrapping paper. Leave a few extra inches to be sure you are
completely covered.
3. After you have measured the desired measurement of the wrapping paper, cut it with
the use of scissors.
4. Once the paper is cut to the right size, place your gift face down in the middle of the
paper. Bring paper from the long side of the box, up to the middle of your package. Pull both sides
tightly so the paper hugs your package smoothly, and tape closed.
5. Next, you need to close the ends. Face the open end towards you and fold the right
and left edges, pushing the sides in next to your box, to form flaps.
6. Fold top flap down to the box, pulling tightly, and tape. Fold the bottom flap up tightly
and tape. Repeat on other side of package.
7. Tie a ribbon around the box to add flair/style.

Activity for fast learners: “I can do it!”
