1. Most ice creams are a rich source of phosphorus and calcium, providing about 6 and 10%
of the Daily Value (DV), respectively, per 1/2-cup (65-gram) serving. Both minerals are
important for muscle function and skeletal health .

2. Most ice cream is high in calories and added sugar while low in nutrients. Although low-fat and no-
sugar-added choices are commonly marketed as healthier, they're still calorie-dense and may contain
various sweeteners. Usually , it depends on which ice cream flavour you are choosing.

3. Pasteurization is the process by which food products (such as juice and dairy products) are mildly
heated to kill off harmful bacteria, salmonella, and other disease-causing pathogens. Pasteurization is
important because the bacteria naturally found in some foods can make you very sick. Eating
unpasteurized foods can lead to fever, vomiting and diarrhea. In some cases it can lead to conditions like
kidney failure, miscarriage and even death.
