From the previous module, the learners were able to find ways and align them
to their skills and abilities to give emphasis to their preferred profession/vocation.
In this module, the learners will focus on how the learner’s future will be
measured by his being able to finish his studies, obtained a degree that will enhance
his persona to share this for the betterment of the family, community and likewise uplift
his well-being at par with global competitiveness.

Honing one’s career is part of the holistic approach in the development of every
learner. Being a member of the community, the learner today will be the tomorrow’s
leader; every profession in the community plays a vital part that each participation is
interconnected with the other. To be able to contribute to our community’s progress,
it is important for a learner like you to plan and select appropriate career for you.
(Include the importance of career planning and proper selection of courses)
The Senior High School Program have been introduced in the previous
modules. Few years ago, it has been fully implemented. Before a learner can go to
college, he/she must be a graduate of Senior High School.
SHS tracks have four disciplines, namely, Academic, Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood (TVL), Sports and Arts & Design This track appeals to those who have set
their minds towards college education.
Divided into degree-specific courses, the Academic track in senior high school
aims to prepare learners to more advanced university courses. Under this umbrella
are four strands namely: Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), Science,
Technology Engineering and Mathematics; Humanities and Social Sciences
(HUMSS); and General Academic (GAS). The ABM strand is designed to train learners
in the basic concepts of business management, financial management, and corporate
operations. The HUMMS strand is for those who are considering taking up journalism,
communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses
in college. GAS strand that takes on a generalist approach in preparing learners for
college. It covers various disciplines like Humanities, Social Sciences, Organization,
and Management.

The TVL Track calls out to eligible learners with subjects focused on job-ready
skills. Besides, it offers practical knowledge with matching certificates to help learners
land their desired job after they graduate from SHS. It has four strands: Home
Economics (HE), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agri-Fishery Arts
and Industrial Arts. The Home Economics track is one amongst the K-12 tracks that
grants learners the talents and knowledge necessary for livelihood projects reception.
Information Communication and Technology or ICT strand is one amongst the strands
offered within the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track
in high school. It's designed to supply you with the technical skills and knowledge in
using tools and equipment that permits people to interact within the digital world. Agri-
fishery Arts strand is one among the programs under the Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood track in middle school. This strand is meant to supply learners with
adequate knowledge and skills regarding agriculture and aquaculture. the
economic Arts strand, under the SHS Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track, could be
a course that develops one's manual skill and familiarity with tools and machines.
Learners get to be told technical work like repair and installation, welding, carpentry,
construction, and plumbing.
Arts and Design Track attracts learners with a penchant for the Arts can enroll
in subjects that will hone their skills in visual design and the performing arts.
See diagram below, it includes exploratory subjects in TLE and SHS tracks and
strands noting on the exits of senior high school program such as Trabaho, Kolehiyo,
Negosyo and Kasanayan. The exits of SHS is not included in the diagram. Briefly
discuss it. Moreover, briefly discuss/include the sample courses under each strand on
each track.
