Gabay sa Magulang/Tagapag-alaga

Isinulat ang modyul na ito upang gabayan ang mag-aaral na


linangin ang kaniyang aspektong personal, sosyal, akademiko, at
karera. Dinisenyo ito sa alternatibong pamaraan na pagkatuto na hindi
nangangailangan ng presensya sa paaralan, bilang tugon sa direktiba
na pinalabas ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon na naaayon sa Inter-Agency
Task Force (IATF).
Maaaring may pagkakataon na hingin ng mag-aaral ang inyong
patnubay sa pagsunod sa mga tagubilin at pagsagot sa mga tanong sa
bawat bahagi ng gawain. Hinihiling ng Kagawaran ang inyong suporta
upang matagumpay niyang maisakatuparan ang mga gawaing ito.
Tiyakin na sasagutin niya ang bawat bahagi ng modyul nang tapat.
Naglalayong gabayan sa modyul na ito ang mag-aaral na
magpupunyagi patungo sa tagumpay sa tulong ng kanyang mga
karanasan sa kanyang pamilya, paaralan at komunidad. Isinusulong nito
ang mas malalim na pagkilala sa sarili upang maihanda ang mga mag-
aaral sa pagharap sa mga hamon ng buhay. Sa modyul na ito
aalalahanin nila ang mga natatanging karanasang maaari nilang
paghugutan ng tibay ng kalooban gayundin ang mga pamamaraang
maaari niyang magamit sa kanyang kasalukuyang katayuan.
Ito ay naglalayong gabayan ang mag-aaral sa pagpaplano sa
kanyang kareerang gustong tahakin sa hinarap. Bukod pa dito, ang mga
track at strand na maaari nyang kunin sa Senior High School ay
ipinakilala din. Sa huli, ang modyul na ito ay nais mapagtibay ang
kanais-nais at epektibong mga paraan patungo sa minimithing
propesyon.

1. identify the importance of proper and early career planning in relevance to


one’s career decision making;
2. determine the track and strand to take in SHS toward achieving
future goals; and
3. implement desirable ways toward the desired future profession.

Period: Week 8 of 4nd Quarter

Introduction

From the previous module, the learners were able to find ways and align them
to their skills and abilities to give emphasis to their preferred profession/vocation.

In this module, the learners will focus on how the learner’s future will be
measured by his being able to finish his studies, obtained a degree that will enhance
his persona to share this for the betterment of the family, community and likewise uplift
his well-being at par with global competitiveness.

Aim the Target


Suggested Time Allotment: 10 minutes
1. Imagine any target you want to aim. It can be a dart board, a balloon, a toy, a
tin can etc.
2. Still using your imagination, take the first shot. Take another shot until you able
to hit your target.

Processing Questions:
1. If you are a first time player, will you be able to hit your target on your first shot?
Why?
2. Will you stop hitting it if you already take for several shots? Why?
3. What will you do to be able to finally hit it?
4. How can you connect the activity in achieving your dreams in life? Is planning

Honing one’s career is part of the holistic approach in the development of every
learner. Being a member of the community, the learner today will be the tomorrow’s
leader; every profession in the community plays a vital part that each participation is
interconnected with the other. To be able to contribute to our community’s progress,
it is important for a learner like you to plan and select appropriate career for you.
(Include the importance of career planning and proper selection of courses)
The Senior High School Program have been introduced in the previous
modules. Few years ago, it has been fully implemented. Before a learner can go to
college, he/she must be a graduate of Senior High School.
SHS tracks have four disciplines, namely, Academic, Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood (TVL), Sports and Arts & Design This track appeals to those who have set
their minds towards college education.

Divided into degree-specific courses, the Academic track in senior high school
aims to prepare learners to more advanced university courses. Under this umbrella
are four strands namely: Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), Science,
Technology Engineering and Mathematics; Humanities and Social Sciences
(HUMSS); and General Academic (GAS). The ABM strand is designed to train learners
in the basic concepts of business management, financial management, and corporate
operations. The HUMMS strand is for those who are considering taking up journalism,
communication arts, liberal arts, education, and other social science-related courses
in college. GAS strand that takes on a generalist approach in preparing learners for
college. It covers various disciplines like Humanities, Social Sciences, Organization,
and Management.

The TVL Track calls out to eligible learners with subjects focused on job-ready
skills. Besides, it offers practical knowledge with matching certificates to help learners
land their desired job after they graduate from SHS. It has four strands: Home
Economics (HE), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), Agri-Fishery Arts
and Industrial Arts. The Home Economics track is one amongst the K-12 tracks that
grants learners the talents and knowledge necessary for livelihood projects reception.
Information Communication and Technology or ICT strand is one amongst the strands
offered within the Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (TVL) Track
in high school. It's designed to supply you with the technical skills and knowledge in
using tools and equipment that permits people to interact within the digital world. Agri-
fishery Arts strand is one among the programs under the Technical-Vocational-
Livelihood track in middle school. This strand is meant to supply learners with
adequate knowledge and skills regarding agriculture and aquaculture. the
economic Arts strand, under the SHS Technical-Vocational-Livelihood Track, could be
a course that develops one's manual skill and familiarity with tools and machines.
Learners get to be told technical work like repair and installation, welding, carpentry,
construction, and plumbing.

Sports Track is developed to equip SHS learners with sports-related and


physical fitness and safety knowledge, this track appeals to those who wish to venture
into athletics, fitness, and recreational industries.

Arts and Design Track attracts learners with a penchant for the Arts can enroll
in subjects that will hone their skills in visual design and the performing arts.

See diagram below, it includes exploratory subjects in TLE and SHS tracks and
strands noting on the exits of senior high school program such as Trabaho, Kolehiyo,
Negosyo and Kasanayan. The exits of SHS is not included in the diagram. Briefly
discuss it. Moreover, briefly discuss/include the sample courses under each strand on
each track.
