Picture 1 feel give up on her ballet dance and picture 2 they dance together with
friends. I think the message of the pictures is better to enjoy your ballet dance
than to give up and I think that individual ballet dancer is very hard

What’s More

Complete the table by citing a scenario/dance steps where each optimizing

activity needs to be improved. Accomplish this at the provided activity sheet.
Optimizing Activity Example or Situation

Sources of Energy One lap around a 400- meter track optimal

cardiovascular conditions.

ATP Cycle Sprinting as fast as you can for 50- meters

with 2-3 minutes recovery intervals before
repeating.

Phosphocreatine Energy System This system can be used for immediate or

very short bursts of activity such as
throwing a ball or running on running a
bus.

Lactic Acid Energy System Used in anaerobic activities that last under
3 minutes but are performed at high
intensity. For example, a 400 m run or an
uphill climb in a cycling race.

Aerobic Energy System Marathon running 5,000 meters, distance

swimming, jogging back to position in
football dancing, canoeing and cross
country skiing.
JOHN ANDEI A. ALCANTARA – Physical Education and Health

Additional Activity
Describe the difference of Aerobic Energy System to Anaerobic Energy
System. What do they have in common? Do the two energy systems use
oxygen? Why? Explain.
AEROBIC
Aerobic means with air and refers to the body producing energy with the use
of oxygen.

This energy is then restored and used for longer periods of exercise at a low
intensity. The system converts glycogen. Into glucose. The glucose is then
broken down during multiple stages to produce hydrogen ions, which converted
into air examples in football dancing, canoeing.

ANAEROBIC

Anaerobic means without air and to the body producing energy without
oxygen. This is typically exercise that is performed at a higher intensity.

Stored in the cells and delivers powers the working muscle cells when the
blood is unable to provide them with oxygen quickly enough examples are
jumping, sprinting or heavy weight lifting.
