CHAPTER II
RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
The study as part of the investigation will be recording, collecting related
archives and analyze various data. The research then will make use of the
following methodologies.
I.
Research Design
A. Historical Research
Reliable records from primary sources such as documents and
remain files will be essential in arranging important documents correlated
to the topic. Historical research provides information of past solutions and
use its applicability to current problems. Former social issues will aid as
reference in the resolution of existing concerns.
B. Descriptive Research
Present data vital in providing answers to the researchs concerns
will be gathered. The study will then collate available and existing studies
associated to the research and link to come up with robust outcome.
Related articles significant in strengthening the study were also used.
C. Library Research
The data will be composed of gathered information from existing and
available materials inside the library. The following are targeted libraries to
be visited and browsed to help further support the study.

D. Internet Research
Web research will provide easy access to information and data about
the project. The gathered information will be of great support to the study.

Research Instruments
A. Structured and Unstructured Observation
Tally sheets, checklist and rating scale will be used to record
important information collected through observation. Data that would help
support the research will be analyzed and included in further study.
Behavioral analysis and its qualities will make use of structural observation.
B. Structured Interview
Direct verbal interviews among authority and experts will provide
operative and hints to solutions. Sets of questions unaltered to all
interviewee were arranged and examine. Current solution to social issues
by respondents will basically reinforce project solutions.
III.
Research Participants
A. Demography
Information from targeted demography represented by the users of
the project will be used and analyzed to provide essential data to the
research. This includes population figures of psychiatric and drug rehab
patients from teenage years to adults.

The figures presented in table 2.0 showed the outpatients, admitted, and
discharged mental patients for the entire 2013 in the whole Bicol region. The
census from Don Susano J. Rodriguez Memorial Mental Hospital had revealed that
male outpatients outnumbered female in general. Female though have a higher
discharge rate than admitted male patients.
