We got an early glimpse of the logo earlier in the day when it appeared to be leaked by the Minnesota Star-Tribune. The artwork ran as an advertisement on the newspaper’s website and was discovered on the Reddit r/timberwolves page.
Minnesota’s artwork overhaul strays from the traditional timber wolf logo of past years and adds a green hue to the color scheme.
It is a spin on the newer logo that the team had implemented in recent seasons.
The ad reads “New Era, New Look,” a tagline likely attributable to Minnesota’s youth movement in trading for Andrew Wiggins and drafting Zach LaVine and Karl-Anthony Towns.
The Wolves’ logo is also eerily similar to SB Nation’s own Timberwolves blog.

We see you, Minnesota. Or, maybe, you see us. It also looks a bit like the the Arizona Coyotes logo. Wait ... we’ve had this conversation before.
Either way, we’re big supporters of the new logo. Go Wolves!
