Critics Consensus

For those who have seen One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest or Starman, K-Pax may not hold anything new. The movie works best as a showcase for Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges.

Vladislav O This movie shows brilliance, it shows you that actors can take you places you yourself didn´t even knew existed. Of course editing and film crew and the director are also doing an amazing job but this movie got me leaning forward the whole time and almost the entire time I was fascinated by everything in this movie. KPAX is a movie that will make you think, consider and reconsider stuff you previously didn´t even gave the time of day to think about, from the way he sees humanity and it´s social structure to the way we think and act. Kevin Spacey and Jeff Bridges are a high calibre actors and they showed it in that movie and yet again it proves that acting alone can make the movie from a meager 2 to a strong 9/10. I just wish we could get Kevin back in doing movies even despite what he did in the past. As a human being he might be a irresponsible person but as an actor, he deserves to get hired again. This is but one of the many great movies that still had heart and sole built into it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 11/26/24 Full Review Audience Member Awesome movie. Great acting by Spacy and Bridges. They really pulled it together. So good, I read all three books! Written by a psychiatrist! And if you read them, you know prot never lies. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/11/24 Full Review Miguel V A Paradise for intelectuals & psiquiatric medicals. I reality enjoy it. Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 09/02/24 Full Review Francesco V As usual the reviews of the "critics" are always out of place or idiotic, they make comparisons with different films that have nothing to do with it. The film is very beautiful and moving. Spacey's performance is impeccable. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 06/12/24 Full Review Oliver A Ignore the critics. As is so often the case, they wouldn’t know a good movie if one hit them over the head with one. K-PAX is a brilliantly engaging and fascinating film that constantly leaves the audience wondering - is he or is he not? It benefits from repeat viewings and has some absolutely incredible scenes. If you haven’t seen it yet - trust me, you won’t be disappointed. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/20/24 Full Review Rob A Kevin Spacey plays a mental patient who claims to be an ET. Jeff Bridges stars as his befuddled psychiatrist who can't find anything wrong with the man. He couldn't possibly be an actual alien, could he??
