Retired super-assassin John Wick's plans to resume a quiet civilian life are cut short when Italian gangster Santino D'Antonio shows up on his doorstep with a gold marker, compelling him to repay past favors. John wick 2 just sings. The legend continues and it doesn't feel forced like some sequels that have iconic part 1 and suffer from lack luster part 2. They continued where he left off and it feels natural. It feels like they took two steps outside the house and in universe works. What a fantastic universe. And combat is just superb. The villains are just so fun to watch get their medicine. The fights are bigger and the locations are better. The hotel has been given more love and it shines. Worth watching . Keanu owns this role.
