The album was scheduled to drop in 2016 with the singer releasing singles such as 'Fans Mi' featuring rapper Meek Mill, and  'The money'. However the Sony Music deal came along and changed the scheme of things with Davido expected to drop two albums and the albums now billed to have a more international appeal as seen in Davido's collaboration with Meek Mill, his unreleased collaborative effort with Trey Songz and his likely collaboration with others like Future, Idris Elba and Young Thug.

The superstar singer said the Sony Music BMG deal which he signed to requires that the album be given more time so as to give it a global appeal and also stage a successful global distribution of the project.

“I am not sure yet (and) it might not even be this year”, Davido told ChannelsTelevision.

Davido had earlier discussed with Fader about the expenses that have gone into the album as well as the possible international featured acts to expect on the album such as Meek Mill, Future and Idris Elba.
