High winds causing power outages across central Pa.

The forecasters for the National Weather Service in State College warned that Monday’s wind storm was likely to cause power outages.

They were right.

As of 10:45 a.m. multiple weather-related power outages were being reported by PPL throughout central Pennsylvania

The largest included an outage affecting 407 customers in the Rutherford area of Dauphin County, one blacking out 603 customers in western Perry County, and one impacting 1,048 customers near Muncy.
