Honda will launch the 2020 Rebel 250 S online

Honda has several new motorcycles to unveil online this Friday. Since the cancellation of this year’s Tokyo Motorcycle Show, the bike manufacturer has opted to take its launch online for all the public to see. We already mentioned the 2020 CT125 Hunter Cub. Joining it on stage will be the 2020 Rebel 250 S.

The Rebel 250 S is an upgraded version of the Rebel 250, in much the same way the CRF 250 Rally is to a regular CRF 250. Thankfully, most of the upgrades will be fitted on both the regular Rebel 250 and 250 S.

These upgrades include LED lighting for the headlights, tail lamps and turn signals. Honda has also included a new gear indicator in the instrument cluster.

Honda has also addressed some past issues. First of all, it now includes a new slipper clutch for easier shifting and reshaped clutch lever. There’s also been improvements to the suspension to provide a better ride.

For those keen to know the distinguishing feature of the Rebel 250 S, it’s a body color-matched headlight cowl.

The Rebel 250 will be made available in three colors: Matte Jeans Blue Metallic, Matte Fresco Brown, and Matte Armored Silver Metallic. The Rebel 250 S will get an exclusive Matte Axis Gray Metallic.

The Rebel 250 is powered by a 249cc water-cooled, 4-stroke, DOHC, 4-valve, single cylinder. It produces 26 PS at 9,500 rpm and 22 NM at 7,750 rpm.

It has a very accessible seat height of 690 mm. All told, it tips the scales at just 170 kg.
