Rita Ora popped by US talk show The View, but Americans weren't impressed.
In fact, the show's viewers didn't even know who the signer was, causing some to tune out when she took a seat by the panel of hosts. Rita is currently doing the press rounds to support her collaboration with Gryffin, Last of Us. Her appearance on the show put her in conversation with major American commentators like comedian and actress Whoopi Goldberg.
After some intense political conversations, they brought her out for a much more relaxing moment. Fans weren't happy with the sudden tone change of the show. One wrote: "Ok I’m gone ! I’m not here for Rita Ora nor fluff !!! Yall have a good weekend."

Another fan tweeted a gif reading "Never heard of her before" and captioned it "Rita Ora." Some fans vaguely recognised her name, but couldn't quite place her. One asked: "I have no idea who Rita Ora is, but she's always on the gossip pages in the paper (at least in NYC), what does she do ??"
While Rita is actually a musician, Americans seemed to think she could be an actress since her music isn't as popular in the States. One wrote: "I've never heard Rita Ora sing or her music until now... I thought she was an actress."
Not all fans were completely oblivious to her career. "Just saying, not really a fan of Rita Ora," said one fan. "But I watch 'The Masked Singer.'" The star was announced to take over Nicole Scherzinger spot on the judge's panel for the US version of the competition show. So, some audiences are about to become a lot more familiar with the British-based pop star.
Those fans who did recognise Rita were happy to see her on the show, but wished she would have sang and performed. Sadly, that's not a standard format for the show, so if they want to hear her voice, they'll need to head to a streaming platform and turn on her newest track.
Rita was able to make an impression on the Americans, though, but not for her music. Instead, she told a tale about going to a Shrek themed AirBNB and making her husband dress up as Shrek as she costumed herself as Princess Fiona. "Being married to me is hard," she said. "You kinda have to do what I want or you're in trouble."
