CITY starlet and new England international Micah Richards has expressed his satisfaction with new agents SEM.
It had been reported that Richards, who became the seventh youngest player to win an England cap in Holland on Wednesday, is currently at the centre of a é1million legal battle with former agents Team Associates.
It was claimed the 18-year-old was represented by Team Associates throughout his time in Manchester City's academy, then broke an existing contract to join SEM not long after his birthday in June.
SEM subsequently negotiated the lucrative four-year contract Richards signed with City at the start of the season.
"I would like to confirm I am exclusively represented by the SEM Group and I am very happy to be with them and intend to continue being represented by them," Richards said in a statement.
Team Associates, through their managing director Andy Hobson, has put the matter in the hands of his solicitors.
"There is a legal action against Micah," Hobson told the Daily Mail.
"He is under contract with us and we are actively pursuing the action against the player.
"It is costing us a lot of money but we feel we have to make a stand against things like this. We will see what the judge says.
"It's demoralising really. But we are doing this for all the right reasons.
"He is a lovely lad, but it has all changed for Micah - he is a commodity now."
The row has cast a shadow over Richards' unexpected involvement within the England set-up.
The Birmingham-born player enjoyed a hugely impressive debut in Amsterdam, largely quelling the threat of outstanding Chelsea winger Arjen Robben even though he has still made fewer than 30 senior appearances at club level.
