To be honest, when I noticed that this movie was dealing with some kind of mythical magical beast, I had my doubts about the damned thing but since I have seen almost all the movies directed by Bong Joon Ho and since this movie was directly available on Netflix, I thought I might as well check it out. Beautiful movie! Great story with perfect casting, especially for Mija.Don't miss the post-credits scene.

3 stars just for wierdness, becuase characters are uniformly too stupid and stereotyped. The Mirando/Monsanto stuff versus animalists/white terrorists is good stuff.
Meet Mija, a young girl who risks everything to prevent a powerful, multi-national company from kidnapping her best friend - a massive animal named Okja.
