Okja is a giant pig, the result of a massive corporations science project to create the next great pork product. Mija is his owner who lives with her Grandpa is South Korea. The movie is part action-adventure, part family drama and part commentary on the meat industry. The movie tackles a complicated subject and offers no solutions just highlights the problems and tells a moving story within. The movie does though ask one massive question: is the meat industry the bad guys for supplying our ever growing appetite for their products with the slaughter of innocent animals or are we the bad guys for demanding more and more of said product? Maybe neither, maybe both.

The Biggest Little Farm (2018)
Watched: Hulu
Wanting to find a place where their dog, Todd, can feel at home and have freedom leads to the idea of buying a farm. A new friend, who harbors a dark secret, is convinced that if done the right way the barren strip of land can be turned into a successful farm. Though it takes a monumental amount of work it all pays off.
The Biggest Little Farm is an award winner for a good reason. It's a beautifully filmed, directed and narrated. It'll surprise you with it's emotional punch and you'll find yourself living life on the farm as you follow the many ups and downs of the film. You really shouldn't miss this.

A movie that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It's about Joey King's character wondering around southern California wanting to be in a gang? I think. It's confusing but certain parts are funny ("Hey, look it's Helen!").

A curiously odd film about riding a Segway across the entire United States, from Seattle to Boston, at the machines top speed of 10 MPH. Starring two former cubical dwellers who quit their corporate jobs to try this insane stunt and make a movie about it. Very enjoyable film about the triumphs, struggles and ultimately the success of such a journey. 5 stars.

Carpet Racers (2010)

Remember those little R/C cars you played with when you were a kid? Yeah those. Well some people never stopped playing with them and grew up, as did the cars, to turn it into a career. This is movie is about the guys who never grew up and went on to race R/C cars for a living. Called 'Carpet Racers' due to the surface of their tracks this film follows several successful racers through a full year in the "sport" for 2007.
