What will the impact of SGE on my brands search results be?
Search Generative Experience (SGE) is set to have the biggest impact on the SERPs in years. When any change happens to the SERPs, the first question will always be: “What is the potential impact on my existing key phrases and traffic?”
To estimate an initial prediction, at ROAST we have created a calculation to gauge the impact of SGE.
The numbers below represent ‘What % of non-brand key phrases will be impacted by SGE’.
A few observations can be made:
The impact depends on how much focus has been made on SEO, in general and specific optimisation for the longer tail.
These are low estimates. We’ve seen SGE appearing on generic key phrases which are not included in the estimates below.
There are no eCommerce clients below. We expect much higher % for this vertical - one client 100% of key phrases SGE appeared.
