"A Collection of Red Earthenware Kept at the 18th Century Ashley House in Sheffield, Massachusetts"

Today's article discusses a beautiful group of 18th/19th century red earthenware that is kept at the Ashley House in Sheffield, Massachusetts. It is a wonderful collection that rivals some of the objects collected by Nina Fletcher Little at Cogswell's Grant in Essex, Massachusetts. But I also briefly discuss the production of red earthenware in Vermont in the late eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
