Halloween Return Policy
We get it. Halloween is a great time of year to wear and use our products. But we’ve been subjected to a few tricks so we must alter our return policy during this time.
Clothing, armor, and some weapons purchased between September 20th and October 31st may be returned for store credit only. Returned items must show no signs of use or wear. During this time, returns will be handled on a case by case basis at our discretion.
Our normal return policy resumes in November.
Special & Custom Orders
For custom-made or custom-ordered items – such as specialized scabbards or custom armor, or items not listed on our site that we are able to find for you – returns may only be accepted at our discretion.
In most cases, these items should be considered non-returnable. Once an order has been placed on these items it may not be canceled, even if there are production or shipping delays beyond our control. Please keep this in mind if ordering those types of items.
Shipping Damage
Our packaging methods are famous and widely discussed on YouTube and forums. Over twenty years, we’ve done our best to find ways to protect your purchases from the trials of shipping.
But sometimes an item may be still damaged in transit.
Should your shipment arrive damaged, please keep all boxes and packing materials and contact us as soon as possible.
Missing Items
If you believe something is missing, retain all boxes and packing materials and contact us as soon as possible. Please be sure to completely unpack and flatten out all boxes and packing materials before contacting us.
Defective Items
We focus on providing the best quality for the price, and often reject even slightly less than perfect items before they ship.
But, we sometimes miss things. In the event that you should receive a damaged or defective item, simply contact us and we’ll get the issue corrected for you.
Please note: Items that we determine to be defective will be replaced with another of the same item.
A Special note about “Perfection”
Please keep in mind that the majority of our products are handmade and are meant to replicate handmade items from hundreds or thousands of years ago. It is the handmade imperfections that give many swords items their appeal.
Warranties
Your sword purchase will be covered by any warranty provided by the respective manufacturers. We can not warranty them beyond this or on our own.
Each manufacturer has their own, unique terms. Some manufacturers, such as Hanwei, provide a one year warranty against material defects and workmanship. Some are a bit less formal about what is covered. Baltimore Knife & Sword provide a lifelong warranty, while some will not offer any warranty.
There are no protections against the abuse of the product. So please know what is and is not reasonable to expect from a sword. If you have any questions, please ask us. If you need to claim a warranty issue, contact us, we’ll work with the manufacturer to get it straightened out for you.
