Popular Dublin nightclub and bar Dtwo will be back open this week although not as people once knew it.

Instead the once thriving night spot on Harcourt Street will rebrand as the "Harcourt Bar" and will operate with all HSE guidelines in place.

The owners also said that Dtwo as a nightclub will not be gone forever although it won't be opening anytime soon.

The bar will now open on Friday morning with people able to at least feel like they are back in a nightclub.

DTwo on Harcourt Street - The pub has another amazing beer garden with a 20ft screen to watch the matches on. They've also got countless screens inside and can seat hundreds of people.

The owners said in a Facebook post: "We are delighted to announce that we are re-opening our doors this Friday at 12pm with a fabulous new interior and sleek new brand, The Harcourt Bar.

"Re-designed to incorporate excellent social distancing and incorporating class leading COVID-19 protocols, this city-centre location will boast a chic interior and spacious outdoor garden lounge that will offer mouth-watering food, a premium drink & cocktail selection, and the perfect spot for you to gather with your close ones!

"Book your table today at www.harcourtbar.ie. PS Don't worry, it doesn't mean Dtwo is gone forever but we'll have an update on the club reopening when it is safe to do so."

Unfortunately for the nightclub part of the business they will not be opening until late 2021 at the earliest with no plan for them in the Living with Covid document released on Tuesday.
