    INCD in the EOSC-Synergy project

    INCD is participating in the H2020 project EOSC-Synergy. The EOSC-Synergy project promotes the development and adoption of the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) services by scientific users in the participating countries. The project is coordinated by CSIC in Spain and by LIP in Portugal , in the framework of IBERGRID, the Iberian scientific and technological cooperation on distributed computing. In addition, the consortium also includes computing research infrastructures, data providers, and research groups from Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, France, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Brazil and also the EGI foundation. The Portuguese participation includes INCD, LIP, LNEC and FCT-FCCN. The objective is to build EOSC as a coordinated effort, and as an open environment for scientific data and related processing promoting convergence of digital infrastructures and scientific thematic services at national or European level.

    INCD in the C-Scale project

    C-SCALE (Copernicus - eoSC AnaLytics Engine) is an H2020 project that aims to federate European Earth Observation (EO) infrastructure services, such as the Copernicus DIAS and others. The federation shall capitalise on the European Open Science Cloud’s (EOSC) capacity and capabilities to support Copernicus research and operations with large and easily accessible computing environments. INCD is one of the C-Scale partners delivering capacity at European level.

    IBERGRID in EGI-ACE: Advanced Computing for EOSC

    In the framework of this project IBERGRID will contribute to deliver the EOSC Compute Platform through a federation of cloud compute and storage facilities, PaaS services and data spaces with analytics tools and federated access services. Compute and Storage facilities are provided by CESGA, LIP, CSIC and INCD.

    Portugal quer estar na linha da frente em matéria de computação avançada e os quatro centros da RNCA tem vindo a fazer progressos tendo em vista os objetivos da estratégia traçada pelo Programa INCoDe.2030. No entanto, existem também múltiplos desafios: desde a falta de recursos humanos às preocupações de confidencialidade dos dados.
