Technical support engineers for Pre-Sales activities and After-Sales Services in Australia report to head of technical support HQ and dot-line report to APAC Sales Director.
The Role
Hoymiles is looking for an engineer to join the team as the company grows. This could be based in Melbourne, with working in the office most of the time and traveling around occasionally.
Key responsibilities
- Responsible for tele- and on-site technical support and pre & after sales support.
- Commissioning, troubleshooting, firmware/hardware updating of PV micro-inverter, hybrid/storage inverter and BESS.
- Reporting and following up with the head office in relation to product failure with clear descriptions.
- Evaluating PV plants’ performance by studying operation data on a regular basis.
- Work Proactively and closely with installers & retailers and provide them with best-in-class customer experience.
- Regular follow-ups on technical issues and build a healthy relationship with installers & retailers.
Required experience and competence:
- Based in Melbourne and can accept national and international travel to make sure the local service team delivers good service, depending on business request.
- Bachelor’s degree or above: must have electrical or electronics background.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in working with inverter technologies, e.g. R&D, service, pre- and after-sales, string inverters industry preferred.
- Strong ability to analyze and solve problems on your own.
- Self-driven working mindset, willing to dig in and find problems, report with clear logic, always providing multi proposals to choose from.
- International mindset for a multi-cultural environment.
- Excellent communication skills.

- Maintain the service level and fulfill service requests coming from local customers, especially our VIP customers.

- Follow the RMA process to make sure it is closed on time.

- At least 3 years of technical background work experience, renewable energy industry preferred.
- At least 1 year of professional experience in working with inverter technologies, e.g. R&D, service, pre- and after-sales, string inverters industry preferred.

1. Responsible for daily order delivery of the overseas warehouse.
2. Inventory management of the overseas warehouse.
3. Check and confirm expenses with overseas warehousing and logistics companies and expense application.
4. Provide other assistance to local salesman.
5. Complete other work assigned by supervisor.
1. At least 2-3 years of experience related to foreign trade.
