it was amazing

Realistic. Hard to read. Powerful. —that's how this book feels. It tells the story of Dr. Eric Philson, who sets out to build a special unit in a kids' hospital. Now, I relate to this book (not as someone who works in medicine, but as a teacher). I understand the feelings, the stress, and the burnout. Fortunately, maybe not as much as Eric.

The book is pretty long, so get ready for a good, long read. I took my time, and even though it's a big story, the writing is clear and not too hard. It talks about the tough stuff behind the scenes in the hospital, giving you a real peek into the medical world. However, I don't think it's just for medical folks; it shows how hard any big job can be.

It helps a reader get the perspective of what might be happening to doctors. (Also, I think in any profession). It is more than just medicine; it shows what people like Eric give up. It makes you think about how much it costs to do the right thing. The book, in simple words, is a deep look at trying hard and what it might cost you. It's like taking a trip into a world where people work really hard to make things better, and you can feel it with every turn of the page
