Really good reference book for beginners like me! I only wish there were more pictures of each bird.

This is a beautiful book, and its focus on MN/WI makes it very usable. Each species is illustrated with one large, detailed drawing; I'd appreciate having more drawings to show the different appearances at different times of the year.

The be-all and end-all of birds in Minnesota and surrounding areas. Easy to reference...I got the one that came with the CD of bird sounds and now have the calls on my I-pod (just in case)

If I stay in MN, it might be a good reference to get.
