The churchyard is long since full (i.e. no modern burials) but has never been formally closed.
Church of St James, Seacroft

Although Seacroft village is one of the oldest inhabited parts of Leeds, this building of 1845 by Thomas Hellyer was its first church, becoming its own parish from 1856, as it formerly came within the parish of Whitkirk. The principal benefactors were the Revd Arthur Martineau, Vicar of Whitkirk and John Wilson JP of Seacroft Hall. The church was reordered in 1970. It is listed grade II (list entry 1255579).
