This rather run-down looking building is of great historical importance to South London. Dating from 1865, it is the former beam engine house of one of the principal pumping stations on the Southern Outfall Sewer (Wiki link: LinkExternal link )

The pumping station is listed grade 2 (Listed Building Number 397899 or Heritage asset number 1213334 from 2011).
