Growing up we all have believed in Superheroes and have also had our favorites from different comic worlds. I still believe that there are Superheroes in this world except that my definition of 'Superheroes' has changed. They are not the fictional characters anymore, but the ordinary people doing extra-ordinary things in life. And watching some of them around me gradually made me realize that in real life, there are many people playing that role of superheroes for many others, but when it comes to themselves, what makes them 'Super' is the fact that they are not looking for another Superhero to come and save their day, instead, they have learned to become their own heroes. How does that happen? The things is that after reaching adulthood some of us come to realize that we can't blame others for our problems forever, nor can we expect others to solve these for us. And so, the best way forward is to trust yourself and save yourself on your own instead of letting others take that charge. That process of taking this responsibility can be slow or challenging for you, but if you stay true to yourself, the end result will make you less vulnerable, more confident and more committed to yourself. So if you are waiting for someone to change the course of your life, or letting someone do it, please stop right now. Start making decisions for yourself and own your choices, be kind to yourself and know that your resilience is your Super Power, and even when you are feeling lonely and pathetic, chin up and know that you are enough. Now repeat after me, 'I'm my own Hero!'
