Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo embrace on the set of Stranger Things' final season

More than two years since they were last seen on Netflix together, Stranger Things stars Joe Keery and Gaten Matarazzo were spotted hugging it out.

The 32-year-old Keery plays Steve Harrington while the 22-year-old Matarazzo plays Dustin Henderson in the hit sci-fi series.

They were both spotted on the set in Atlanta on Thursday, which comes a month after the titles for the final eight episodes were revealed.

Production got under way in early January 2024, though in March star Millie Bobby Brown said there was still nine months left of filming.

It's unclear when filming will wrap, though the new season is expected to air sometime in 2025 on Netflix.

Their characters' 'bromance' was one of the most beloved aspects of the show as fans have been chomping at the bit for the new season.

Keery was spotted wearing a short-sleeved blue button-down shirt and black sunglasses for his day on the set.

He also rocked 80s-style blue Guess jeans, brown belt and brown dress shoes for his outing in Atlanta.

Matarazzo opted for a white t-shirt under a black vest with dark sunglasses that were similar to his co-star's.

He also donned a marroon and black backpack plus blue and black shorts and white Asics sneakers.

While very little is known about the upcoming final season, Maya Hawke, who plays Robin Buckley, offered an interesting update last month.

She revealed that they are basically making eight movies for this final season, which explains why production has nearly lasted a full year.

'We’re making, basically, eight movies. The episodes are very long,' Hawke said of the upcoming season.

'They are very intense and serious about the quality of the continued writing, and so it takes a long time to write each season and a long time to shoot them,' she added.
