Coventry City are at Carrow Road today where they take on a Norwich City side who, like themselves, have strung together a three game unbeaten run over the festive period.

The only difference is that the Canaries have managed two wins and a draw since Boxing Day compared to one victory and two stalemates for Frank Lampard's men.

The bad news, however, is that Norwich have been a bit of a bogey side for the Sky Blues who haven't beaten them since 2008/09 when they managed a league double over the Norfolk club - some 11 games in all competitions ago.

City are not helped in their latest attempt at success by the fact that leading scorer Haji Wright and influential winger Ephron Mason-Clark remain out injured, while there is concern for Tatsuhiro Sakamoto after he picked up an ankle injury at Cardiff last time out.

Stay tuned for all today's team news which will be brought to you here at 2pm, an hour before kick-off, before Sky Blues reporter Andy Turner brings you live updates throughout the match.

Second half underway

Half-time: Norwich 0 Coventry 1

The home fans boo as the referee blows for half-time. The Sky Blues are well worth their lead after playing some bright and enterprising football and scoring from a superb move. But they do have Dovin to thank for keeping them in it after the goalkeeper made two good saves before City scored.

It's been a good half from Coventry who look really up for this game and have made a vast improvement on Wednesday's game at Cardiff.

Early Kitch header

Dovin to the rescue again

Dovin comes to the rescue again, this time to deny Marcondes, tripping over the bar at his near post.

Good save

Dovin reacts brilliantly to get down and make a terrific save to deny Sainz aking the lead after being played in behind and getting the better of Lati.

City have a free-kick which is launched into the box where Kitching gets on the end of it with a stooping header that is saved by the keeper, albeit the flag goes up for off-side.

Team news - four changes for Sky Blues

Frank Lampard has made four changes to his Coventry City side to face fellow mid-table team Norwich City at Carrow Road.

The big news of the day is that Liam Kitching gets his first start under the new head coach on a day when fellow centre-halves Bobby Thomas and Joel Latibeaudiere also continue in the team. The question is whether Lampard is switching to a back three or, more likely, sticking with back four and either deploying Latibeaudiere at right-back or as a holding midfielder?

The consensus of opinion in the press room is that the Jamaican will be deployed in midfield alongside Ben Sheaf in place of Josh Eccles, who drops to the bench, which would leave Milan van Ewijk at right-back and Jake Bidwell at left-back – the latter continuing to be preferred to Jay Dasilva. Oliver Dovin, meanwhile, continues in goal ahead of Brad Collins and in the continued absence of the injured Ben Wilson.

Like Kitching, Jamie Allen also makes his first start for a long time, and looks as though he will play the more attacking midfield role, assuming Lampard sticks with a 4-2-3-1 formation, with Brandon Thomas-Asante in for Tatsuhiro Sakamoto on the right. The Japanese winger picked up an ankle injury on New Year’s Day but has travelled to Norwich and is named on the bench.

That leaves Jack Rudoni to continue to deputise for the injured Ephron Mason-Clark on the left flank and Norman Bassette restored up top in place of Ellis Simms, who provides back-up from the bench.

City: Oliver Dovin; Milan Van Ewijk, Bobby Thomas, Liam Kitching, Jake Bidwell; Joel Latibeaudiere, Ben Sheaf; Brandon Thomas-Asante, Jamie Allen, Jack Rudoni; Norman Bassette.

Subs: Brad Collins (GK); Jay Dasilva, Luis Binks, Victor Torp, Ellis Simms, Tatsuhiro Sakamoto, Josh Eccles, Raphael Borges Rodrigues, Fabio Tavares.
