Take us there. What do you see as you arrive?
Karma’s wow factor begins on a cable car that runs from cliffs overlooking a stunning lagoon down to the white sands of Bali’s most beautiful beach. Because the club is nestled in a jungle-covered cove, its ambience feels intimate and romantic.

Stunning. So what's the crowd like?
The steep entrance fee ($35), which goes toward a food-and-drink credit, makes this club out of reach for budget travelers. You'll mingle with Ubud's upper crust and wealthy honeymooners from the BRICs.

What's on the drinks list?
Karma’s house drinks and tiki specials will please anyone with a sweet tooth; cucumber-and-elderflower gin spritzers are perfect for lovers of savory cocktails. And a giant jug of the signature sangria topped with ginger beer will satisfy groups that swing both ways.

How about the food menu?
Greek seaside classics like grilled octopus, mezze, and gyros. Then there’s the seafood itself: freshly shucked oysters, sushi, and chili crab. Order the lobster with Thai nam jim dip if you’re feeling particularly flush.

So why do you think this place is worth the price of entry?
Karma's makes for the perfect private-beach date. Get there early to snag a cabana, kayak around the corals at low tide, pose for pictures in the nearby cave, and then settle down on a beanbag to take in a movie on the beach after sunset.
