Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain in Big Bear Lake
The Alpine Slide is a thrilling quarter-mile long ride with two distinct concrete tracks. Despite what the waiver may suggest, it’s actually more exciting than scary! Your journey begins atop an exhilarating chairlift where you can pick either the ‘fast’ or ‘slow’ track – they recommend newcomers try out the slower course while experienced riders are sure to enjoy the faster one. Plus, during your trip down Big Bear Lake you’ll be treated to some stunning views along the way!
Children between the ages of 2 and 6 can ride free with an adult; however, individuals under two years old, as well as pregnant women are not permitted on-board. To accompany the trains, there is a go-kart track and an 18-hole mini golf course for all to enjoy! During the summer months, they also offer exciting waterslides that will keep kids occupied for hours – only single riders are allowed on these slides with a pool at the bottom that measures 3.5 feet deep. Come join us today for some family fun!
Wintertime in the “snowplay” area is a blast, with tubing slopes for all ages. Kids aged 2 to 6 can slide their way down absolutely free when accompanied by an adult; unfortunately, younger children and pregnant women are excluded from this fun-filled activity.

“I had a great time at Big bear Lake with my family..! Just a couple of hours away from Los Angeles, it’s a wonderful place to spend a day or weekend, skiing, snow tubing, building a snowman or just enjoying the beautiful views. If you go with kids, it’s going to be more fun and they’re gonna love it for sure..! We booked a condo through Airbnb and that was so beautiful too..! I also highly recommend you to visit the Big bear Lake Village..! It was nice walking around the lake and getting pizza from the village..!”
“Super fun for both kids and parents! We drove about two hours here and kid was a bit tired. Water slide was such a refresher and kid played ten slides in a straight. They prepared float jackets for small kids, so no worries even if kids can’t swim independently. It’s so much fun watching kid sliding into water in big big excitement. Would love to go again next summer.”
