Colorful ribbons is my personal project I did during exploration of Houdini vellum solver. This is a first part called "Colorful ribbons" in which I used two vellum hair techniques. The first one is the simple drop of a one long spline and second one projection of a closed spline on an object and further growth of segments. For coloring I used Houdini vex and several Redshift OSL shaders. Kudos to Alexandr Eskin for the great youtube stream about vellum solver. Especially for a great explanation about the difference between Houdini 18.5 and Houdini 19 vellum solver setup.
