A true Central Florida original, Mike Presley, came onto the scene in 1991. Mike worked as the manager of Daytona Beach's staple record store Atlantic Sounds. Through this position, local radio station 99.9 FM offered the opportunity to develop a radio show known as "Alternative Frequency". Alternative Frequency started to buzz, and local nightclub Coliseum decided to sponsor the show, offering Mike residency. A decision was made after three years, to leave Atlantic Sounds and dedicate more time to the nightlife and the sounds of the underground.
