Phantom Tail

Santos de Castro’s musical trajectory spans a few decades. Hailing from the Basque Country, he took base in London on the raving late 80’s. He cut his teeth touring worldwide as drummer with industrial rock outfits and supporting NIN, Die Krupps, etc before taking his first steps into producing dance music in the early 90’s. Inspired by the emerging hypnotic electronic scene he became a pioneering force of a darker side of Psytrance and formed Deviant Species and Ambivalent Records in the mid-nineties through which he forged his unique brand of psychedelia. A series of well received EPs led him to take part in the legendary South Africa’s 2000 Millennium Festival which brought together the leading Psytrance luminaries at the time. This was followed by extensive worldwide touring, the release of four albums
