When Syed joyfully insists Zainab visited him during the night, Christian blames it on the painkillers. Zainab’s angry with Yusef for tricking her into going to the hospital. Masood secretly phones the hospital to check on Syed. Zainab wants work on the Argee Bhajee to start straight away, Masood has to admit he cancelled the insurance, they’re not covered. Zainab’s furious when Masood reveals the full extent of his debts, including a loan from Phil. Zainab finds an unpaid invoice from Greg and realises Masood knew the restaurant was structurally unsafe. Feeling guilty, Tamwar and Afia suggest postponing their wedding, but Masood insists it’s going ahead. Syed returns from hospital and thanks Zainab for visiting. Zainab’s cold, insisting it was a mistake she won’t repeat.

Greg’s best man has pulled out of the wedding, Ian persuades Greg to let him have the role, it could be his last chance to get Jane back. Jane tries to make Ian accept that they’re getting a divorce; he accuses her of wanting be with Masood, she denies it but insists Masood’s a better man than Ian. Ian demands compensation from the Masoods for his injured wrist.

Ricky’s late for work; he’s exhausted from searching for Whitney. Lauren sees a girl being escorted into the police station and, sure it’s Whitney, leaves her phone number with a policeman. Abi steals Lauren’s phone to call Jay. Angry, Lauren tracks Abi and Jay down in Charlie’s summerhouse. Abi runs off. When Lauren catches up with her, Abi hands back the phone, there’s a message. Lauren finds a dishevelled Whitney waiting outside the police station.

Fat Boy’s jealous of Mercy and Seb. Ashley borrows money from Fat Boy claiming he needs it to get to a job interview, but Fat Boy later finds him in the pub.
