Final Fantasy X

released on Jul 19, 2001

Final Fantasy X is the tenth main installment in the FF series and the first title released on sixth-generation consoles. It was also the first game to feature fully three-dimensional areas rather than including pre-rendered backdrops, and the first to include voice acting. Final Fantasy X tells the story of a star blitzball player, Tidus, who journeys with a young and beautiful summoner named Yuna on her quest to save the world of Spira from an endless cycle of destruction wrought by the colossal menace Sin.

"Let's try laughing" is one of the most intentionally misunderstood scenes in video game history and it drives me crazy. Everything about this game is cool.

played 3 times, did the whole postgame on the 3rd one. postgame kinda sucks balls but it's something extra to do. this game holds up insanely well and might be my #1 jrpg. EN voices are a bit out there but it was 'new' to do it on this scale, kinda charming in its own way and i actually really like most of the cast

Easily one of the best battle systems in the entire franchise, I love that the ATB bar is nowhere to be seen.
