SAGAMIHARA, Kanagawa Prefecture--One of the Kanto region’s premiere light shows, the Sagamiko Illumillion event, is now up and running at the Sagamiko Mori Mori amusement park in the city’s Midori Ward
The venue is decorated with 6 million bulbs to create a fantastical world of light.
There are nine illuminated spots, including “The Sea of Lights” in blue, “The Glowing Garden” in pink and “The Shining Mori Palace” featuring a 15-meter-tall tree and art walls.
An area is also set aside that features Rilakkuma and other San-X Co. characters so visitors can take photos.
The park offers 11 attractions. They include a Ferris wheel and an obstacle course.
Visitors can also take a chairlift lit in rainbow colors.
Held between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m., the light show runs until May 11.
Admission is 2,000 yen ($13) for adults.
Children aged 3 or older, including elementary school pupils, can get in for 1,300 yen, as well as seniors aged 65 or older.
Guests bringing their dogs will be charged 1,000 yen.
