Change Framework Series: Part Six

The transition between current and future states is where strategy and culture collide, and implementation excellence becomes critically important. This transition is also where stakeholders can get stuck.

When a change isn’t managed well, progress stalls, resources get wasted, and the benefits for changing go unrealized.

The science of organizational change provides the solution to this situation. This includes partnering with the right people within the organization to lead and influence the outcomes; following proven process steps; and using tools that help change leaders define, design, and deploy change.

Success is when stakeholders accept, adopt, and sustain the changes – whether it’s a new process, system, structure, responsibility, or mindset shift.

This can be measured at both the individual and organizational level, which we’ll describe in our next frameworks article!
