Yūki Takada, Yōko Hikasa, Ai Kayano Star in New Game! TV Anime

The staff of the television anime adaptation of Shōtarō Tokunō's New Game! manga announced the main cast at a stage event at AnimeJapan on Sunday. The show stars:
Yūki Takada as Aoba Suzukaze
Yōko Hikasa as Kō Yagami
Ai Kayano as Rin Tōyama
Megumi Yamaguchi as Hifumi Takimoto
Megumi Toda as Hajime Shinota
Ayumi Takeo as Yun Iijima
The event also revealed that Takada, Yamaguchi, Toda, and Takeo will perform the show's theme song as a new unit. The staff is taking suggestions for the new unit name. Additionally, the event announced that the "Manga Time Kirara Festa" event in Tokyo on June 26 will feature New Game!
The anime's official website announced on Saturday that the series will premiere in July. The website also unveiled the first key visual and main staff members.
Yoshiyuki Fujiwara (Plastic Memories, GJ Club) is directing the series at Doga Kobo (Luck & Logic, Himouto! Umaruchan). Ryohei Takeshita (To Love Ru: Darkness, Maken-Ki! Battling Venus 2 episode director) will serve as assistant director. Fumihiko Shimo (Infinite Stratos, Kokoro Connect) is in charge of series composition, and Ai Kikuchi (Engaged to the Unidentified, Rainbow - Nisha Rokubō no Shichinin) is designing the characters. Hajime Hyakkoku (GJ Club, K-ON!) is composing the music.

In the workplace manga, the main character Aoba Suzukaze graduates from high school and joins a game company. The person who made the game that Aoba loved as a grade-schooler just happens to be Aoba's senior at the company. The story follows girls who work and aspire at the Eaglejump company.
Tokunō launched the manga in Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Charat magazine in 2013, and Houbunsha published the third volume in January.
