Tokyopop Adds Benjamin's Remember Manhua, Reschedules Titles
posted on by Egan Loo
The North American publisher Tokyopop has revealed to the ICv2 retail news source that it is releasing the Remember manhua from the Chinese artist Benjamin early next year. Tokyopop already released Benjamin's Orange graphic novel earlier this year. At its first full-length online discussion panel ("webinar") on Thursday, Tokyopop confirmed that it has rescheduled the following titles:
V.B. Rose volume 6
September 29, 2009
Aria Vol. 5
November 3, 2009
Fruits Basket Ultimate Edition Vol. 4
January 5, 2010 (depending on demand, Tokyopop may release all 23 volumes in hardcover)
Tactics volume 8
May 1, 2010
Chibi Vampire novel 6
April 6, 2010
Trinity Blood volume 3
November 3, 2009
However, Tokyopop does not have a firm answer on whether it can publish B'tX volume 16 or more volumes of the Kino's Journey novel series. They hope in the next six months they will have an answer on B'tX. Tokyopop is waiting on Gravitation's creator for more volumes of that title, but advises readers not to "hold your breath." On the other hand, the publisher noted that it "had tremendous success with .hack, and you will probably see more."
