  Solidly manufactured letters. Took paint very well, and ended up looking great on our neighborhood's sign. If there's a nit to pick, it would be that they could be thicker - they're about 1/4" thick. 1/2" thick would have allowed me to counterbore the mounting holes into the sign, and then use wooden plugs to cover the screws, and have been all pre-painted to be even better looking.
