Installation was a bit of a pain in the neck due to the many small brackets, and even smaller screws, that are required to hold up the nights when installing them on a vertical surface. Overall it wasn't bad...but if they had made the screw holes a little larger and supplied a little larger screws, it would have made a world of difference. Getting back to the lights...they are incredible. I didn't want the standard "rope light effect"...dozens of little points of light staring down at you. The neon effect gives you a very smooth and even light to the area you want to brighten up. Out of the box, the lights are a little bright...which is good when you have company over. But when you want to relax with a softer light you need to add a dimmer switch. And that really finished it off. We now have everything from a relaxing hint of light to a full party illumination. By the way...after installing the lights, we had about 5 feet of extra light. I was very hesitant about cutting the lights to shorten it...but I followed the instructions, sealed the end and TADA...it worked fine. I really can't say enough about this product. It's not the cheapest...but it's worth every penny.
