    I may not have scoured over the fine print, but this filing cabinet is made of particle board. Not metal. And you must assemble it completely yourself, which is a large project. That is my fault for not looking more thoroughly.

    The bigger problem is that the metal components of the drawers are quite flimsy and bend easily. The drawers are fairly sketchy when they are filled with files, etc... seems like they will bend and distort with metal hardware if I leave them all the way open for too long or put any downward pressure. The drawers also don't open smoothly, very clunky.

    Also, it would be very very easy to break into, so a poor choice if you're looking for decent security.

    If I hadn't already set the whole thing up, and return shipping would be a nightmare, I would return for a metal cabinet, for sure. Will definitely have to buy a replacement cabinet in the near future.

    UPDATE 12/20/24:
    After about a month of use. This thing really is trash. It looks really nice as a stationary object, but that's about it. I basically have client files locked in 1 drawer and the drawer is basically full of [paper] files. The drawer hardware cannot handle this weight; the hardware is obviously bending; the drawer falls out of the hardware track nearly every time I open or close it, and it typically does not open or close correctly, without MUCH effort to make sure the metal tracks are aligned and the track wheels are where they're supposed to be. Don't waste your money unless you don't plan on actually using it much.
