Jewelry Box With Mother Of Pearl Inlay
Intrigued by this box, so I ordered. The jewelry box arrived in its signature box and the inside presentation was very nice with the cloth envelope and box tissue wrapped with an included cleaning cloth to wipe smudges. The highly glossed engineered wood box has beautifully smoothed Mother of Pearl inlay into what looks like dragon design on top of box and front of box has some inlay as well; overall size is ~12 x 7.5 x 3.5 inches. There is a silver catch in front. Inside the box is a suede velvet lining with different compartments for jewelry or accessory storage. The three watch/bracelet areas have removable inserts. As an option, the top tray could be removed and used separately and use the box to store larger keepsakes. The bottom of the box has rubberized feet. Good weight.Part of the hinges were wobbly and felt cheap and the catch in front was set crooked. These types of things bother me; expecting the basic elements of the box to be precise for this price point.

    Overall, I'm pretty pleased with this. I've been over it a few times, and I can't find any flaws in it. The inlays are well done, and the final finish on the case is nice and has a good shine to it. The hinges and the lock work like they are supposed to. The inside has some places set up for 3 watches, and then there are places for other small items such as jewelry and maybe a wallet. It could be used as your catch-all for your pocket items at the end of the day. It comes very well packaged to keep it protected. It has a felt storage bag/sleeve that you can store it in if needed. I'm pretty happy with this, and it looks great on my dresser.

    The inside has a removable tray, so you can use it as a big box or as a compartmented box- there is not enough room for something under the tray unless it is super thin. The compartmented tray has 3 removeable watch "holders" - and if you do not have a bunch of watches, then you have 3 small, 1 medium, and 1 large compartment.
    The latch is nice & solid, it does not lock. It is really nice quality.
    Speaking of, the quality of the box and the inlay is superb. In a few other boxes I have the paint was drippy or uneven or marred or the interior was scuffed. Not this one. It was immaculate and gorgeous. The enamel smooth and even.
    This is one amazing box.

    This inlaid lacquered jewelry box is stunning! The design is awesome, and the inlaid abalone shell shifts colors beautifully. The interior of this box is finished exceedingly well. I am really blown away by the craftsmanship and quality of materials used in making this jewelry box. I would order this again!
