  I tried to use this between my 2020 MacBook Pro and a CalDigit thunderbolt dock. The MacBook would "bing" when I plugged it in as if registering a new device; but none of the devices on the dock would work (mouse, keyboard, external drives, external display). Tried both cables in the 2-pack, tried flipping the male and female ends around as suggested by the seller, tried both ports on the MacBook, all no go. I really wanted these to work, they appear very well made. We'll try using them on a regular USB-C laptop and the Nintendo Switch and see how that goes. The product description is a little vague about what will and will not work on a Thunderbolt port; I suppose full TB data rates are needed for the MacBook to TB dock connection. Giving 3 stars for overall product quality, even though it didn't work for me.
