Ariana Grande has been sporting the same sleek high ponytail for what feels like for-ev-er now, and as it turns out, she really kind of has. The "Thank U, Next" singer proved this when she Instagrammed a beyond-cute throwback photo of herself as a kid wearing the exact same style. (Well, save for the extensions.)
The post in question features lil' Grande posing for what we can only assume is a headshot with her thick, dark brown hair pulled back into a tight ponytail on the top of her head. What's more, the pop singer poked fun at herself in the caption, writing, "If anything…she's consistent," referring to the fact that she's worn the same signature style for ages now. Props to Grande — it's always refreshing to see celebs not take themselves too seriously.

Naturally, fans have a lot of feelings about the adorable throwback photo, and they're letting it all out in the comments. "Yessss ponytail 😍🙌🏼," writes one fan (among many). Even Nickelodeon had to weigh in: "Too cute 🤗🤗🤗 ," writes the television network. Oh yeah, and the post hasn't even been up for 24 hours and it already has over 5 million likes.
With Grande showing off her naturally curly hair more these days, we can't help but wonder if she'll ever retire The Ponytail. Regardless, clearly, she's been loyal to this look for longer than people realized, and you've gotta love her for that.
