The purpose of this paper is to investigate the research development in supply chain risk management (SCRM), which has shown an increasing global attention in recent years. Literature survey and citation/ co-citation analysis are used to fulfil the research task. Literature survey has undertaken a thorough search of articles on selected journals relevant to supply chain operations management. Meanwhile, citation/co-citation analysis uses Web of Sciences database to disclose SCRM development between 1995 and 2009. Both the approaches show similar trends of rising publications over the past 15 years. This review has piloted us to identify and classify the potential risk associated with different flows, namely material, cash and information flows. Consequently, we identify some research gaps. Even though there is a pressing need and awareness of SCRM from industrial aspect, quantitative models in the field are relatively lacking and information flow risk has received less attention. It is also interesting to observe the evolutions and advancements of SCRM discipline. One finding is that the intellectual structure of the field made statistically significant increase during 2000-2005 and evolved from passively reacting to vague general issues of disruptions towards more proactively managing supply chain risk from system perspectives.

Amos Tversky investigated and explained a wide range of phenomena that lead to anomalous human decisions. His two most significant contributions, both written with Daniel Kahneman, are the decision-making heuristics-representativeness, availability, and anchoring-and prospect theory. Tversky's concepts have broadly influenced the social sciences. In economics, they gave rise to the burgeoning field of behavioral economics. This field, skeptical of perfect rationality, emphasizes validation of modeling assumptions, integration of micro-level data on decisions (including experimental evidence), and adoption of lessons from psychology. Tversky's contributions are reviewed, assessed using citation analysis, and placed in historical context. Fertile areas for behavioral economics research are identified.

This work shows that it is possible to exploit text and image content characteristics of logo and trademark images in Web pages for enhancing the performance of retrievals on the Web. Searching for important (authoritative) Web pages and images is a desirable feature of many Web search engines and is also taken into account. State-of-the-art methods for assigning higher ranking to important Web pages, over other Web pages satisfying the query selection criteria, are considered and evaluated. PicASHOW exploits this idea in retrieval of important images on the Web using link information alone. WPicASHOW (Weighted PicASHOW), is a weighted scheme for co-citation analysis incorporating within the link analysis method of PicASHOW the text and image content of the queries and of the Web pages. The experimental results demonstrate that Web search methods utilizing content information (or combination of content and link information) perform significantly better than methods using link information alone.

The Web is revolutionizing the entire scholarly communication process and changing the way that researchers exchange information. In this paper, we analyze two views of information production and use in computer-related research based on citation analysis of PDF and Postcript formatted publications on the Web using autonomous citation indexing (ACI), and a parallel citation analysis of the journal literature indexed by the Institute for Scienti®c Information (ISI) in SCISEARCH. Our goal is to establish a baseline pro®le of computer science``literature'' as it appears in the published journals and as it appears on the publicly available Web. From this starting point, we hope to identify additional research areas dealing with information dissemination and citation practices in computer science and the utility of autonomous citation indexing on the Web as an adjunct to commercial indexing Ó

In this paper, citation analysis of the doctoral dissertations of the Electronics and Communication Engineering (E.C.E.) department of National Institute of Technology Durgapur (N.I.T. Durgapur), West Bengal, India, were analysed to understand the citation trends of the scholars. For this study, 47 doctoral dissertations available in the library are chosen as the study sample. These dissertations contain 6476 references referred from different kinds of literature. Journals are the most preferred literature with 3934 (60.75%) of the whole, followed by conference proceedings with 1572 (24.27%) and books with 675 (10.44%) references. 231 (3.57%) were referred from other resources, while 64 (0.99) could not find. IEEE has received maximum journal citations to 1572 (39.96%) of the total journals' citations followed by Elsevier B.V. and American Physical Society to 413 (10.50%) and 222 (5.64%) respectively. The rest of the journals references were from other publishers. Scholars cited 754 journals out of these IEEE Transactions on Antennas and Propagation has received maximum occurrence to 337 followed by Physical Review B - Condensed Matter and Materials Physics by A.P.S. and Electronics Letters by I.E.T. to 108 and 107 times respectively. The U.S.A. is the top publishing country with 318 Publications. Followed by the United Kingdom, Netherlands & India with 134, 94,44 & 40 publications, respectively.

Literature review is an important but time-consuming task that involves many disparate steps. A simple query to a library database may return voluminous literature that often bewilders novices.We believe the bibliographic techniques developed by the information scientists provide useful process and methods that facilitate literature analysis and review. We thereby developed a citation-based literature analyzing and structuring system, which may facilitate novices to perform tasks that are usually carried out by trained professionals. A field study was carried out to gauge the utility as well as users' perception using a questionnaire adopted from relevant empirical studies. Graduate students participated in the field study are able to publish papers in their first semester by utilizing this system. The utility and usefulness of the intellectual structuring system are demonstrated by the objective evidence of the high acceptance rate of papers utilizing the system as well as the subjective positive response from the users. A system utilization model utilizing the structure equation modeling technique found the task characteristics construct affects the information quality construct, which in turn affects the perceive usefulness of the system.

The study deals with the analysis of citation practices of English language (ESL) students at the University of Prešov in Prešov in their final theses at the bachelor´s and master´s levels of studies. The attention was focused on selected aspects of reporting and citations (quotations vs. paraphrases; integral vs. non-integral citations) with the aim of description of respective students´ citation practices in their bachelor´s or master´s theses. It was found out that English language students preferred non-integral citations (in the analysed corpora) and paraphrases (in three out of four subsets of the analysed corpora).

The authors investigate the overall and subarea influence of a comprehensive set of marketing and marketingrelated journals at three points in time during a 30-year period using a citation-based measure of structural influence. The results show that a few journals wield a disproportionate amount of influence in the marketing journal network as a whole and that influential journals tend to derive their influence from many different journals. Different journals are most influential in different subareas of marketing; general business and managerially oriented journals have lost influence, whereas more specialized marketing journals have gained in influence over time. The Journal of Marketing emerges as the most influential marketing journal in the final period (1996-97) and as the journal with the broadest span of influence across all subareas. Yet the Journal of Marketing is notably influential among applied marketing journals, which themselves are of lesser influence. The index of structural influence is significantly correlated with other objective and subjective measures of influence but least so with the impact factors reported in the Social Sciences Citation Index. Overall, the findings demonstrate the rapid maturation of the marketing discipline and the changing role of key journals in the process.

The study of the citation histories and ageing of documents are topics that have been addressed from several perspectives, especially in the analysis of documents with "delayed recognition" or "sleeping beauties." However, there is no general methodology that can be extensively applied for different time periods or research fields. In this article, a new methodology for the general analysis of the ageing and "durability" of scientific papers is presented. This methodology classifies documents into three general types: delayed documents, which receive the main part of their citations later than normal documents; flashes in the pan, which receive citations immediately after their publication but are not cited in the long term; and normal documents, documents with a typical distribution of citations over time. These three types of durability have been analyzed considering the whole population of documents in the Web of Science with at least 5 external citations (i.e., not considering self-citations). Several patterns related to the three types of durability have been found and the potential for further research of the developed methodology is discussed.

We test for the existence of gender bias in power relationships. Specifically, we examine whether police officers are less likely to issue traffic tickets to men or to women during traffic stops. Many psychologists believe a Kuhnian revolution-a competitive event between incommensurate paradigms in which a winner displaces losers after chaotic upheavalhas occurred in psychology. Cognitive psychology is said to be displacing behavioral psychology and psychoanalysis, but few published data support this thesis. Social science citation records from the leading journals in cognitive psychology, behavioral psychology, and psychoanalysis between 1979 and 1988 were analyzed. Results show an increasing trend for cognitive psychology but also high citation rates with no downward trends for behavioral psychology. Citation rates for psychoanalysis are not as high, but indications of decline are marginal. These findings do not support the Kuhnian displacement thesis on changes in modern psychology.

In our 1975 monograph "Evaluative Bibliometrics" we discussed the many uses of publication and citation analysis in the evaluation of scientific activities, and some of the basic statistical properties of the scientific literature, particularly the skewness of the distributions of publications and citations, reference time distributions, and various anomalies in the citation patterns from one country to another. Over the last ten years we have devoted much of our energy to the development of an analogous research base and infrastructure for patent bibliometrics, that is for the use of patents, and patent citations in the evaluation of technological activities. There are remarkable similarities between literature bibliometrics and patent bibliometrics, and they are both applicable to the same wide ranges of problems. This paper will show that there are striking similarities between literature and patent distributions of national productivity, inventor productivity, referencing cycles, citation impact and within country citation preferences.

In this Research Commentary, we describe 3 journal metrics–the Web of Science's Impact Factor, Scopus's SCImago Journal Rank, and Google Scholar Metrics' h5-index—and compile the rankings (if they exist) for 69 mathematics education journals. We then discuss 2 paths that the mathematics education community should consider with regard to these citation-based metrics of journal quality: either working within the system to enhance our positioning or resisting or modifying the system itself.

The paper presents citation analysis of Ph. D. theses submitted to Mahatma Phule Krishi Vidyapeeth, Rahuri in the subject Agricultural Botany during 2006 to 2010. The study is based on the 3309 citations. The study present analysis of citations on the basis of forms of literature, country wise scattering, authorship pattern and chronological distribution. The study revealed that journals are the dominant source of information and joint authorship prevails in the citations.

The present two-part article introduces matrix comparison as a formal means for evaluation purposes in informetric studies such as co-citation analysis. In the first part, the motivation behind introducing matrix comparison to informetric studies, as well as two important issues influencing such comparisons, matrix generation and the composition of proximity measures, are introduced and discussed. .In this second part of the article, we introduce and thoroughly demonstrate two related matrix comparison techniques the Mantel test and Procrustes analysis, respectively. These techniques can compare and evaluate the degree of monotonicity between different proximity measures or their ordination results. In common to these techniques is the application of permutation procedures in order to test hypotheses about matrix resemblances. The choice of technique is related to the validation at hand. In the case of the Mantel test, the degree of resemblance between two measures forecast their potentially different affect upon ordination and clustering results. In principle, two proximity measures with a very strong resemblance most likely produce identical results, thus, choice of measure between the two becomes less important.

We present here a new method for literature reviews that utilizes citation network analysis from academic databases. Special attention is paid to the construction of the citation network in order to ensure that the sample contains key publications in the field. Keyword searches in databases can be misleading because keywords are not used consistently across publications. Snowball sampling is onerous because the sample grows at an exponential rate. Constrained snowball sampling (limiting the percentage of articles collected at each level) is presented as a feasible and effective alternative that allows for robust citation analysis using a small fraction of the data. The methodology is outlined here. Free software for the R environment is also available.

Although reciprocity is fundamental to all social orders, management research offers few reviews of the concept’s theoretical origins and current applications. To help bridge this gap, we elucidate the dominant understandings of reciprocity, ask which areas of research emerge from them, and explore how they interconnect. Our bibliometric methodology detects four clusters of management research on reciprocity. Across these clusters, authors subscribe mainly to substantialist ontology, marginalize morally oriented motives consistent with relational ontology, and largely assume that benefit-oriented motives underlie reciprocity. We outline the advantages of a moral-oriented relationalist concept of reciprocity and discuss potential areas for its development in management research.

Evidence is examined for the repeated claim that published papers with more than one author are, on average, of higher quality than those with a single author. Among published studies it is shown that no clear conclusion can be drawn, though evidence supporting the claim is stronger in astronomy and physics than among the social sciences. An empirical study of 656 papers in four Australian science journals produced negative results. Possible reasons for the differing results, and difficulties in researching the field, are highlighted.

The present study analyses the scientific productivity of Karnatak University, Dharwad for the period from 1960 to 2019 using Scopus citation database. Karnatak University, Dharwad is one of the premier higher educational institutions which cater to the educational needs of North Karnataka. A total of 4990 publications were extracted from the Scopus database. The investigation endeavors to quantify the growth of KUD’s scholarly literature in terms of the authorship pattern, year-wise distribution of publications and citations, domain-wise distribution of publications, ranking of authors, ranking of highly cited publications, collaboration and so on. The results indicate that Science faculty has contributed 4785 (95.89 %) publications out of 4990. Among the Departments, the Department of Chemistry contributed 1701 (34.09 %) publications, followed by Physics (870, 17.43 %) and Polymer Science (523, 10.48 %). T.M. Aminabhavi found to be the most prolific author in Karnatak University, Dharwad (491, 9.84 %), followed by S.T. Nandibewoor (364, 7.29 %). The Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru was the most collaborated institute with Karnatak University, Dharwad (102 publications), followed by Chonbuk National University, South Korea (94 publications). USA was the most collaborated country (258 publications, 8104 citations), followed by South Korea (161 publications, 3300 citations).

In their article "Requirements for a cocitation similarity measure, with special reference to Pearson's correlation coefficient," Ahlgren, Jarneving, and Rousseau fault traditional author cocitation analysis (ACA) for using Pearson's r as a measure of similarity between authors because it fails two tests of stability of measurement. The instabilities arise when rs are recalculated after a first coherent group of authors has been augmented by a second coherent group with whom the first has little or no cocitation. However, AJ&R neither cluster nor map their data to demonstrate how fluctuations in rs will mislead the analyst, and the problem they pose is remote from both theory and practice in traditional ACA. By entering their own rs into multidimensional scaling and clustering routines, I show that, despite r's fluctuations, clusters based on it are much the same for the combined groups as for the separate groups. The combined groups when mapped appear as polarized clumps of points in two-dimensional space, confirming that differences between the groups have become much more important than differences within the groups-an accurate portrayal of what has happened to the data. Moreover, r produces clusters and maps very like those based on other coefficients that AJ&R mention as possible replacements, such as a cosine similarity measure or a chi square dissimilarity measure. Thus, r performs well enough for the purposes of ACA. Accordingly, I argue that qualitative information revealing why authors are cocited is more important than the cautions proposed in the AJ&R critique. I include notes on topics such as handling the diagonal in author cocitation matrices, lognormalizing data, and testing r for significance.

This article identifies 25 articles that have been particularly influential in shaping the state of the art of research on family businesses. These works were identified based on a citation analysis of family business articles published over the past 6 years in the four journals that publish most of the research. The authors summarize those influential studies and discuss their most important contributions to scholars' current understanding of family business. By identifying common themes among those studies, the authors are able to provide directions for future research in the field.

In a reprise of Lowe and Gardner's (2000) review of The Leadership Quarterly's (LQ) first decade as a premier outlet for scholarly leadership research, we review 353 articles published in LQ during its second decade. Multiple methods were employed to prepare this review, including: interviews with the journal's current Senior Editor and Associate Editors; an assessment of LQ's impact, reputation, and most cited articles through citation analyses; a content analysis of article type (theory, empirical, and methods), contributors (e.g., discipline, nationality, and institutional affiliation), theoretical foundations, research strategies, sample location/type, data collection methods, and analytical procedures; survey and follow-up focus groups conducted with LQ Editorial Review Board members; and qualitative analyses to assess the prevalent themes, contributions, and trends reflected in LQ during its second decade. Drawing from these sources, we describe anticipated directions for future research.

This study used the bibliographic scattering analysis to explore the scientific publications trends on gifted individuals with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) over the past 23 years. The study examined the applicability and appropriateness of Bradford’s and Lotka’s laws of scattering to measure the impact factors of journals, institutions, countries, researchers, and personal publications on the area of research. After examining 95 research papers published in 55 Social Sciences Citation Indexed (SSCI) journals from 1998 to 2020. The rank list was prepared to identify the core journals in education. The most frequent venues of journals in descending order of times cited are, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B-Biological Science (USA) with 33.8% of citation, followed by the Journal of Autism and
Developmental Disorders (USA) with 10.3% of citation and Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (USA) with 8.2% of citations. The top four categories of research were psychology with 37.13% of publications, followed by psychiatry (13.77%), neurosciences and neurology (11.38%), and education (8.38%). The study found that Asperger syndrome (AS) is still used in academic studies, even after it was immersed in the ASD by DSM-5 criteria. The findings and limitations were presented and discussed.

Science maps are visual representations of the structure and dynamics of scholarly knowledge. They aim to show how fields, disciplines, journals, scientists, publications, and scientific terms relate to each other. Science mapping is the body of methods and techniques that have been developed for generating science maps. This entry is an introduction to science maps and science mapping. It focuses on the conceptual, theoretical, and methodological issues of science mapping, rather than on the mathematical formulation of science mapping techniques. After a brief history of science mapping, we describe the general procedure for building a science map, presenting the data sources and the methods to select, clean, and pre-process the data. Next, we examine in detail how the most common types of science maps, namely the citation-based and the term-based, are generated. Both are based on networks: the former on the network of publications connected by citations, the latter on the network of terms co-occurring in publications. We review the rationale behind these mapping approaches, as well as the techniques and methods to build the maps (from the extraction of the network to the visualization and enrichment of the map). We also present less-common types of science maps, including co-authorship networks, interlocking editorship networks, maps based on patents’ data, and geographic maps of science. Moreover, we consider how time can be represented in science maps to investigate the dynamics of science. We also discuss some epistemological and sociological topics that can help in the interpretation, contextualization, and assessment of science maps. Then, we present some possible applications of science maps in science policy. In the conclusion, we point out why science mapping may be interesting for all the branches of meta-science, from knowledge organization to epistemology.

Productivity metrics provoke mixed responses from the research community. The Open Researcher and Contributor ID (ORCID) facilitates an open and clear data infrastructure to handle publication products. ORCID is a unique identifier that accepts data interoperability for funders, industries, and publishers by exploring indicators for research aspects that they aspire to evaluate instead of using current indicators because they are readily accessible. This manuscript examines the use of ORCID for publication metrics, grant applications, management and reporting platforms. The benefits of ORCID offer a quick way to promote and organize a researcher's work as well as to foster better communication among researchers.

The Middle Ages greatly valued originality and creativity, although these qualities were not only linked in the long chain of imagination (as we usually do today), but they were also framed in the field of memory. Therefore, the usual assumption that memory is an exclusive resource of an oral society does not seem to be entirely satisfactory: in the Middle Ages the memory was equally present in the more cultured and literary social strata. In fact, during the medieval period, the influence of an inherited pedagogy (from Classical rhetorical roots) meant that the cultivated memory (and the affective appropiation of preexistent material) remained fundamental to medieval literary culture because it was understood as essential not only to reading and composition, but also to the formation of character. This paper suggest some thoughts and sacred and profane examples on this issue.

Scope: The classification of researchers and scientists in Greece in a unified list based on the citation impact and dissemination level of their scientific work according to Google Scholar database
Classification criteria: First criterion is h-index. In the case of equal h-index, the following scientometric indicators are used for the classification. The number of total citations, the i10-index, the total impact factor of scientist, the m-index or
m-quotient of scientist.
Information resource: The h-index, citations and i10-index derived from the public profiles of researchers in the Google Scholar database. In addition, the calculation of total impact factor and m-index of each researcher is carried out using the
data from the Google Scholar database.
Methodology: Researchers and scientists accounts in the Google Scholar are detected by official domain names of institutions, universities and other organizations of public and private sector. The institution, university and organization of each researcher is defined by domain of email address that have been validated in the Google Scholar. In the next step, the values of h-index, citations and i10-index are recorded from profiles of researchers. If necessary, the total number of uploaded scientific articles and the dates of first published and last published article of researcher are recorded, these data are required for calculation of total impact factor and m-index of each researcher. In the final step, the classification of all researchers and scientist according to h-index and citations number, i10-index, impact factor and m-index is carried out.

In this celebration of Philip Shaw's 65th year, we present a study of three types of butterfly books: a monograph with national coverage, a field guide with national coverage and a field guide with Europe-wide coverage. We sample these in both English and Swedish. This topic is chosen partly because the honoree is an enthusiastic butterfly watcher-cum-photographer and partly because natural history volumes have received very little attention from rhetoricians and discourse analysts. All six volumes use words and pictures to aid the identification of butterflies, by teaching observers the field marks that can operate to align tokens with types. However, beyond this, differences emerge by studying the various treatments of a single sample species-the Silver-washed Fritillary. Only one, the English-language European guide, uses a highly condensed style with many abbreviations and sentence fragments. The other five employ standard prose. However, the two English-language volumes differ from their Swedish counterparts in one important respect: the former employ considerably more evaluative and aesthetically-charged language, as well as a much more concerned voice regarding environmental changes and declines in butterfly populations. This difference would seem to be relatable to differences in rhetorical conventions and in the status of butterflies in the British Isles and Sweden.

This paper reviews developments in informetrics between 2000 and 2006. At the beginning of the 21 st century we witness considerable growth in webometrics, mapping and visualization and open access. A new topic is comparison between citation databases, as a result of the introduction of two new citation databases Scopus and Google Scholar. There is renewed interest in indicators as a result of the introduction of the h-index. Traditional topics like citation analysis and informetric theory also continue to develop. The impact factor debate, especially outside the informetric literature continues to thrive. Ranked lists (of journal, highly cited papers or of educational institutions) are of great public interest.

The study sought to find out the effect of poor reading habit on the academic performance of junior secondary school students in Enugu South Local Government of Nigeria. Seven research questions guided the study. The research design was a case study. The population of the study consists of all junior secondary school students and teachersin Maryland Boys’ Secondary School and Community Secondary School all in Enugu South Local Government Area of Enugu State. Simple random sampling technique was used to select 90 students and 10 teachers from the two schools.Questionnaire was the instrument for data collection. Data collected was analyzed using the weighted mean formula. Major findings of the study revealed that factors which affect reading habits of JSS students are largely derived from the school, teachers, family background and students themselves. Based on the findings, some recommendations were made to improve the reading habit of these students.
