Spanish Abstract: En el entendido que un sistema de solucion de controversias creible y solido determinara la consecuente solidez y credibilidad del regimen que lo sustente, este trabajo describira, analizara y evaluara el sistema de solucion de controversias del Mercosur. Se partira de la hipotesis que el caracter intergubernamental de los organos del Mercosur provoca que los Gobiernos opten por mecanismos no jurisdiccionales de solucion de controversias, no accionando los procedimientos jurisdiccionales del Protocolo de Olivos.English Abstract: Having in mind that a credible and solid dispute settlement system determines the strength and credibility of the regime in which it is immersed, this book describes analyses and evaluate Mercosur’s dispute settlement system. The main hypothesis of this work is that the intergovernmental character of Mercosur’s organs causes that Governments choose alternative dispute resolution mechanisms and not the ones that are include in Olivos Protocol.
