Fans of former Houston TV news personality Dominique Sachse have been working tirelessly to nail down the identity of her mysterious husband after she revealed this week that she secretly tied the knot in June. The ex-KPRC 2 anchor turned Morning on Merit Street co-host confirmed the news during a recent Q&A on her podcast Over 50 & Flourishing. However, Sachse declined to name her new spouse for the sake of privacy. She further teased the relationship on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a photo in which her husband's face is turned away from the camera.
At least one fan questioned whether the mystery man might be actor Dennis Quaid (it's not) after Sachse recently interviewed him on her morning show. Sachse laughingly denied this during her podcast. However, many are certain her other half might actually be well-known voice actor and musician Vic Mignogna, 61, who has voiced characters in a number of popular anime series, including Fullmetal Alchemist and Dragon Ball. Rumors of the surprise pairing surfaced on social media following Sachse's announcement, with one individual sharing a sighting of the pair hanging out in December.

This week, Mignogna also offered some clues hinting at the relationship after he told fans he was recently married during a livestream on Twitch Wednesday. After flashing his left ring finger to the camera, he explained their story began 30 years ago in Houston, prior to his engagement to actress Michele Specht. "I was crazy about her. She was probably 27 or 28. I was 32," he said. "For whatever reason, the timing wasn't right."
While they casually kept in contact over the years, it wasn't until Mignogna came to Houston for the 2023 Anime Matsuri anime convention that they truly reconnected, after learning they were both no longer in relationships. "So we started seeing each other," he said. "The problem was, of course, that she lived in Houston and I lived in Dallas."

However, she soon got an offer to join Dr. Phil McGraw's new network in Dallas, Mignogna said, further indicating his new spouse is Sachse, who joined Dr. Phil's Merit Street Media earlier this year. "I have never, ever seen God move in my life the way he did in this relationship," Mignogna said. "He brought this woman that I was crazy about 30 years ago back into my life at just the right time and orchestrated things for her to be up here."
As of Wednesday, it has been five weeks since he married, Mignogna said. While he declined to outright name her, Mignogna said his wife would make an appearance at this year's Anime Matsuri, scheduled for Aug. 8-11, where Sachse has also been invited as a guest judge. He confirmed that she also announced the marriage this week on social media. "We enjoyed a little privacy there for a while and it was nice to have that little bubble where we didn't have to, for lack of a better term, suffer the slings and arrows for people out there that for what reasons completely unbeknownst to both of us, feel like our private lives are fodder for them," Mignogna said.
Mignogna may be referring to the heavy public scrutiny he faced after he was accused on Twitter in 2019 of sexual harassment, which he has vehemently denied. As a result of the allegations, which go as far back as 2008, Funimation dropped Mignogna from its forthcoming projects and he was uninvited to a number of anime conventions. Mignona sued his former employer, two of his accusers and one of the women's partners, for defamation and tortious interference. However, his suit was dismissed in court, and again on appeal.

Sachse's team did not respond to a request for comment by the time of this writing. The former anchor and Houston businessman Nick Florescu divorced in 2022 after 10 years.
Corrections: Vic Mignogna was once engaged to Michele Specht. A previous version of this article stated the two were married. Sachse has been married three times. A previous version of this article stated she has married twice. The story also previously characterized one social media user mentioned in the story as a "fan" of Dominique Sachse and Vic Mignogna.
