CLUB STATEMENT: Fisher takes over Middlesbrough Women FC

08 January 2020

Middlesbrough Women FC can confirm that Ben Fisher has taken over the ownership of the club from Lindsey Stephenson.

On the takeover, Fisher said:

"I've been involved with football, playing youth team and reserve team football for Hartlepool United and Bradford City and have also previously worked at Middlesbrough Women FC as Secretary and head of the clubs' junior section.

"I'm looking forward to trying to move the club on to the next level. I want to place on record my thanks to Lindsey for all the hard work and the tremendous job she has done over the years. Without her, the club would not be an established Northern Premier Division team and supporters of the club should be forever grateful to her for putting Middlesbrough Women FC on the map.

"I feel the club have firm foundations and I am excited at the prospect of working with Steph to try and continue the recent success of this great club".
